(SPOT.ph) Nothing quite like sitting at your favorite cafe quietly sipping a cup of joe. Add in some Christmas cheer and holiday spirit, and it's an entirely all too rare moment of peace. Which is why, whenever December—we mean, September (we do have the longest Christmas after all), rolls in, we make the most out of the festive spirit that we can. And that includes trying out the different types of holiday drinks that pop up around popular and under-the-radar cafés around the Metro this time of year. We list down the must-tries below.

Get festive with these Christmas drinks from cafés around the Metro:
Cookie Butter Latte from Toby’s Estate
Satisfy the cookie monster in you with this treat from Toby's. Take their signature lattes built on quality espressos, add even more depth and a bit of texture with buttery cookies, sweetness from a healthy dose of caramel, and you've got yourself a recipe for a cheery mood. It's available in both hot and cold versions at P235; add P10 for a large iced serving.
For more information, check out the Toby's Estate PH Facebook page.
Mallow Lattes from the Library Café by Gourmet Farms
Occupying a cozy nook in the historic Ramon Magsaysay Center's ground floor is a quiet little place called Library Café. Inspired by childhood birthday parties, barista Baron Dizon concocted two special lattes: The Choco Mallows (P180) has a base of milk and chocolate syrup that's then topped with crushed cookies and, what else, marshmallows (yup, caffeine-free!); The White Mallows (P168) has espresso with milk, crushed white cookies, and a soft crowning of marshmallows, too. Both cups have their mallow halos torched for a truly festive touch. If you ever find yourself in Malate, trust that with or without their nostalgic Christmas cups, this spot is worth the visit.
The Library Café by Gourmet Farms is at the Ramon Magsaysay Center, Quintos Street corner Roxas Boulevard, Malate, Manila. For more information, check out their Facebook page.
Red Velvet Oatmilk Latte from Starbucks
Is it really Christmas in the city if you don't at least catch a glimpse of Starbucks' annual line of holiday drinks? This year they've got two classics returning—the Toffee Nut Crunch Latte (P195/tall, P210/grande, P225/venti) and the Peppermint Mocha (P195/tall, P210/grande, P225/venti)—but if you're looking for something to fuel you up for all the holiday events, the Toffee Nut Crunch Cold Brew (P200/tall, P215/grande, P230/venti) should be your pick. For something new, give the Red Velvet Oatmilk Latte (P210/tall, P225/grande, P240/venti)—signature espresso, steamed oat milk, red velvet-flavored sauce, whipped cream and bits of red biscuits—a try.

The Javanilla Collection from Seattle's Best Coffee
Sweet tooths, you've got another treat waiting at Seattle's. Their line of Javanilla holiday drinks are made with the best thing you can have in the Philippine's tropical Christmas: ice cream. There are three variations to try, though ideally not all at the same time (not a challenge, folks). There's the Classic (starts at P235), the Salted Caramel (starts at P240), and even one made with KitKat (starts at P240).

Frozen Coffee Miruku from FRNK x Yardstick
Two fave chains came together to bring us this cheery cuppa, the Frozen Coffee Miruku (starts at P225). A sweet and creamy caffeine mix is given a different edge thanks to a crown, and by that we mean a gluten-free crisp gingerbread coffee. FRNK suggests crumbling the dessert into your drink to give it new texture, but you could also eat it separately, whatever floats your boat this Christmas.

Frozen Black Forest from Tim Hortons
If you've ever wanted to drink cake, here's your chance, in a manner of speaking. Tim Horton's dropped the Iced Peppermint Chocolate (starts at P190) and the Frozen Black Forest (starts at P175) this Christmas and both are more than enough to turn on cheery mode. The Black Forest drink has an ice-blended chocolate base mixed with red berries for a bit of tart and, of course, a generous topping of whipped cream.
