Looks Like % Arabica's Making Its Way Back to the PH

(SPOT.ph) It was around this time last year that famed Japanese café % Arabica pulled what seemed to be a move straight from a dating handbook—that is, ghosting us by closing their shops without any formal announcement or explanation. Eventually they did give us closure, posting a statement on social media that they'd "agreed not to continue the collaboration" with their then-Philippine partner. Cue heartbreak for regulars.

That former Philippine partner has since moved on to open their own coffee shop. But the fun (if you can call it that) is just getting started, it seems, as we move onto the new arc in the series: % Arabica has announced that they'll be making a comeback with soon-to-open stores in BGC.

The ghost of % Arabica lives on:

"Manila, we will restart our project this year with these stores," reads an Instagram post from the coffee shop's international handle, @arabica.journal. "This is a sneak preview of our upcoming stores in BGC, opening in 2023." Attached in the post is this photo:

Fingers crossed this'll push through—and that it won't be long before we can get our % Arabica fix after a year! In the meantime, it doesn't hurt to give their Philippine leg's Instagram a follow.
