You Can Earn Additional Stars When You Use Your Own Cup at Starbucks

(SPOT.ph) We understand if it's too much of a hassle to bring a tumbler for coffee, especially if there's also a need to carry a separate tumbler for water. But why keep buying these aesthetic tumblers with 24-48 hours of insulation if not to lessen plastic waste, right? If the P10 discount in Starbucks for when you B.Y.O.C. (Bring Your Own Cup) isn't enough, maybe Starbucks' new sustainability effort is enough to make a shift. For all Starbucks Rewards members, you are entitled to collect a total of five (5) bonus Stars whenever you B.Y.O.C. for your order of Starbucks coffee or tea.

Here's how Starbucks Rewards members can earn five bonus Stars:

From April 1 to 30, Starbucks Rewards members earn five Stars (a.k.a. Starbucks points) whenever they bring a clean reusable cup and use it for their Starbucks coffee or tea. This is instead of using disposable plastic cups that, by the way, don't offer any insulation for iced coffee or hot coffee.

The great thing about Starbucks' April promo is that the P10 B.Y.O.C. discount is still valid. Starbucks Rewards members can get five Stars and, on top of that, the P10 discount.

What can you get with Starbucks' Stars?

The basic conversion is that one "Star" is equivalent to every P25 spent. This applies to any item that can be bought from Starbucks—a drink, cake, pastry, or even their aesthetic merchandise.

For every 100 Stars earned, the Starbucks Rewards member receives a voucher (seen on the Starbucks mobile application) that entitles the member to a free food item or a free handcrafted beverage of their choice. The beverage can be any drink of any size, so as long as it's not a specialty drink of Starbucks Reserve or ice cream-based beverages.

To be a Starbucks Rewards member and earn Stars, you need to buy a Starbucks card (don't worry, it's consumable!) and register the card using the mobile application. The application is available for both iOS and Android users. This Starbucks Rewards promo is available until April 30, 2023, in all Starbucks stores nationwide.
