10 Restaurants In and Around Tagaytay Where You Can Bring Your Pets
They serve great eats and offer idyllic views, too.
(SPOT.ph) We hear ya: sometimes you've just gotta get away from it all, i.e. drive out to get some weekend R&R somewhere outside the Metro, like breezy ol’ Tagaytay and other parts of Cavite. For pet parents, it can be a pain to do so as it typically means leaving your furry friends behind for a day (or more)—but a number of restaurants thankfully allow pets in their premises, under certain conditions. Doesn’t hurt that they offer great food and stunning views, too.

Bag of Beans
Where: 115 Aguinaldo Highway, Mendez Crossing West, Tagaytay City
Operating hours: 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Friday; 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday
With al-fresco area: Yes
The vibe: Rustic and homey, with an old-world charm.
Must-try: the Roast Beef (P550) that’s slow-cooked to tender, succulent perfection.

Gourmets Cafe
Where: Gourmet Farms, Km. 52 Aguinaldo Highway, Silang, Cavite

The vibe: Easy, breezy, and full of greenery.
Must-try: Pizzas (like the Diavola, P560, with salame picante crudo, peppers, olives, and anchovies); the dreamy Maritozzo (P160) to go with their coffee; and of course, their signature salad bar.

The vibe: Plantitas are in for a treat as you’re there's lush greenery everywhere.
Must-try: The Pad Thai (P490) with chicken and shrimp, and the titular Lime and Basil salad (P390) with fried egg, basil, lettuce, peanuts, shallots, and a tangy tamarind dressing.
Pets allowed: Yes. Pets are required to be vaccinated and to be wearing diapers.

Sonya’s Garden
Where: Barangay Buck Estate, Alfonso, Cavite
Operating hours: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the breakfast buffet, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the eat-all-you-can classic menu.
With al-fresco area: Yes
The vibe: Idyllic as heck. Flowers and foliage all around—it is a garden restaurant after all.
Must-try: The eat-all-you-can buffet with salad greens organically grown and freshly harvested from their own greenhouses.
Pets allowed: “Dogs are welcome, preferably those that are gentle and petite,” they write on their website. Other pets can also enter, provided they stay “securely under their owner’s custody.” The restaurant discourages the entry of “noisy and ferocious animals” as they have free-range farm animals roaming the area.
Tuny RestoFarm
Where: 131-I Barangay Malabag, Silang, Cavite
Operating hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday to Sunday
With al-fresco area: Yes
The vibe: As the name implies it’s part-farm with greenery and produce all around, and part-al fresco restaurant with a rustic atmosphere.
Must-try: The simple yet satisfying Caprese Salad (P745), the loaded Antonio's Bandejado (P795) breakfast place with two kinds of farm-made sausages and farm-smoked bacon.

Monstera Cafe PH

Farmer’s Table

The vibe: Wide and spacious, with plenty of fresh air to go around.
Must-try: Their stone-fired pizzas, like the Margherita’s Garden (P475) with fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, oregano, arugula, and Malagos Pecorino cheese, and the A Hawaiian in Tagaytay (P520) with caramelized pineapple and Amadeo-style garlic pepper longganisa. The Our Famous Kanderetang “Osso Bucco” (P575) is likewise not to be missed.
