Chef Sau x Tatung Collab, a Tsinoy Heritage Dinner: The Must-Book Events at This Manila Festival

(SPOT.ph) Metro Manila is a mecca of great eats, whether we're talking about the kwek-kwek on the streets or the fancy degustations at the higher-end dining spots. It's about time this be celebrated—and that's precisely what the Manila Food & Wine Festival sets out to do. Happening until August, the roughly four-week long fest highlights renowned chefs and (as the name implies) great food and drink that you can try across a series of upcoming events!

Check out the schedule of events as part of the Manila Food & Wine Festival 2023:

The Manila Food & Wine Festival is brought our way by the Department of Tourism, along with the Restaurant Owners of the Philippines and Our Awesome Planet. Comprising the festival are individual events, all open to the public; these are the upcoming events you can check out:

• Antipolo Evolution: 12 Hands Collaboration, a collaboration dinner between the chefs of Tahanan Bistro, Vieux Chalet, Burrow Café Antipolo, and Moniquecakesph to be held at Tahanan Bistro on July 18
• A Journey Through Asian Cuisine, an exploration of the continent's cuisines, to be held at Flame in Discovery Primea on July 20
• Cavite Fresh! Silang & Tagaytay Best Chefs, a collaboration dinner between Chefs Jayjay and Rhea Sycip (of The Fatted Calf), Kalel Chan and Arnold Gozon (of Farmer's Table and My Country House), Rhea Rizzo (of Mrs Saldo's), and Anthony Mendoza (of Tuny RestoFarm), happening at My Country House on July 20 
• Gen Tsi, a Tsinoy heritage dinner by Chinese-Filipino chefs Chef Luis Chikiamco (of Discovery Primea), Sharwin Tee (of GTV's Let’s Do Lunch and Little Grace private dining), and Donatella Chua (of Croissant Lady) along with cocktails by Kalel Demetrio (of Liquido Maestro), happening at Flame in Discovery Primea on July 20

• Azadore Food & Wine Fiesta, happening at Chef Tatung Sarthou's Azadore on July 21
• Chef Tom Hines x Chef Wade Watson, a partnership between the two chefs (of Kobe Jones and Bondi & Bourke, respectively) happening on July 26
• Manila Iconic: Chef Sau & Chef Tatung Gala Night, a collab dinner paying tribute to Filipino icons "Aling Asiang" Reyes, Nora Daza, and Larry J. Cruz, happening at Admiral Hotel on July 27
• Dr. Wine x Aquavit x Agimat x Buccaneers Crawl, a bar crawl happening in Poblacion on August 5
• Five Hand, Snout to Tail, a (technically) 10-hands dinner in collaboration
  with Esguerra Kurobota, by chefs Ed Bugia (of Mimi & Bros), Charles Angelo Montañez (of Alegria), Kel Zaguirre (of Locavore, Takao Studios, and other establishments), Niño Laus (of Ninyo), Kalel Chan (of Raintree Restaurants), and Zarah Manikan (of Gelato Manila), happening at the Joy Nostalg
  hotel on August 8

The festival aims to shine the spotlight on the city's dining scene, and show the world what Manila's got to offer through food tourism. Definitely mark your calendars!
