(SPOT.ph) Just when we thought we'd seen the full spectrum of what Chef Christina Sunae can do in the kitchen, the chef (of Korean-American roots, and who's spent part of her life living in the U.S., the Philippines, and Argentina) shows she's nowhere near done. Sunae Asian Cantina is now Señorita Sunae Asian Cantina—which boasts new dishes well worth trooping back to the dining establishment for.

Check out the new dishes at Sunae:

Chef Christina's long demonstrated her knack for bringing together flavors from different parts of the world—especially Asia and Latin America, thanks perhaps to her multicultural background. Make space on your table for new plates, beginning with the Kinilaw Tahure—tuna kinilaw with a similar vibrancy to most versions, but also sweetness from fresh fruit and a distinct creaminess with their use of a tofu cream. Come cold days, the Seafood Laksa is your best bet. It's all about the creamy, briny medley of coconut, clams, squid balls, tofu, prawns, basil, and sambal in this spiced yet soothing bowl.

Sunae brings in even more dishes representing different parts of Asia (and its regions)—from the Penang Curry of fresh fish in a Penang curry gravy, to Bangkok-Style Crab & Prawn Omelette made extra-rich with aligue, to a Korean-Style Fried Chicken Bowl lent a fresh, crisp bite with a free-range chicken thigh. From the Philippines, of course, is their interpretation of Chicken Inasal using free-range chicken thigh fillets imbued with aromatics: lemongrass, ginger, lemon, and turmeric. And hey, it doesn't hurt to get a cocktail or two on the side for good measure; their tropical numbers like the Havana Club-based Lychee Ron and Absolut vodka-spiked Jasmine Blossom are bound to keep the taste buds hooked.
