SPOTTED: Is Paik's Coffee Opening in Boracay?
We saw this exciting sign by the shoreline.
(SPOT.ph) Boracay's shoreline is dotted with all kinds of restaurants and shops. Possibly adding to the list is popular South Korean chain Paik's Coffee! We spotted this boardup amongst the throng of signs in Station 2 in late July. Spot the familiar logo of Chef Baek Jong Won, a.k.a. "Chef Paik", on it, right below another boardup for what looks to be a Korean BBQ spot.

Is Paik's Coffee opening up shop in Boracay?
We saw the boardup right beside the colorful Munimuni restaurant, a few steps away from Army Navy. The familiar yellow and blue tones dominated the sign, as well as icons reppin' their socmed pages in the Philippines. A quick search of the "Congrats 2U" tag showed a LinkedIn page crediting it as a food and beverage manager that "aims to bring different Korean food brands to the Philippines particularly those owned by Chef Paik of The Born Korea."
Paik's Coffee is known for huge cups and value-for-money prices. They use specialty coffee beans from Brazil, but don't worry if you're no caffeine fiend as they've got green tea and milk tea on the menu, too. Paik's Coffee opened their first local branch at Glorietta 1 in February. And they're set to pop up all over the Metro, particularly in Robinsons Malls. Looks like they'll be adding another store to their PH belt soon enough, this time in Boracay.
The first Chef Paik-founded spot to open in Metro Manila was Ball Katsu in Megamall in December 2022. Paik's Coffee soon followed suit. And his samgyup spot Saemaeul BBQ Restaurant opened up in Glorietta 1 just this month.
