(SPOT.ph) Before we had the popularity of plant-based drinks in the Metro—to the point of it being a mainstay in café menus and having at least three options in supermarkets, we've always had dairy-free Vitamilk at our disposal. Arguably underrated, this soy milk brand from Thailand has steadily captured the hearts of the lactose intolerant by releasing one interesting flavor after the other. As of lately, we couldn't help but feel helpless (in a good way) because the newest flavor to become available in the Philippines is everyone's favorite ube.

Check out the new Vitamilk Ube flavor:
If you're a fan of Vitamilk, then you definitely already have a go-to flavor that you always buy whenever the craving hits. But personal biases aside—we're looking at you, our favorite child, Vitamilk Banana—the new Ube flavor can definitely grow on just about anyone. Dare we say, it can even win over the staunch ube haters and skeptics who are just over the purple trend that's gone global.
Think of Vitamilk Ube as melted ube-flavored ice cream, but with the sweetness tempered down from a level 10 to a level four. You can definitely taste more of the nuttiness that comes from the soy milk itself, and a tinge of sweetness from the ube flavoring.
As for the optimal temperature for gulping down this sweet faux milk, this one is best when it's ube-r cold. Thankfully, the one place (more on this later) where you can buy a glass bottle of Vitamilk Ube stores the drink inside refrigerators and chillers.
Here's how much and where you can buy Vitamilk Ube:
According to Vitamilk Philippines' Facebook post, the Vitamilk Ube variant is exclusively sold at 7-Eleven stores nationwide until the end of this year, December 31, 2023. And by exclusively, this means that 7-Eleven is their only official distributor but that, of course, doesn't necessarily mean it can't be sold anywhere or by anyone else.
Each bottle of Vitamilk Ube is sold at P45. It's a little more expensive than the other flavors which are the regular Vitamilk, Strawberry, Choco Shake, Double Choco Shake, and Banana, which are all sold at P30 per bottle. In any case, we still think it's definitely worth trying, most especially if you have an affinity for the purple crop.
