(SPOT.ph) Wolfgang’s Steakhouse has long been synonymous with expensive dining—just take a look at the viral “guess the bill” trend on TikTok that has left many of us wondering how the wealthy manage to splurge a semester's tuition on a single night.

But there's no longer a need to sacrifice an arm and leg—or at least wait for a special occasion—to get a taste of luxury. You can now enjoy the exceptional flavors and ambience the brand is known for, at a fraction of the usual cost.

Wolfgang's Steakhouse gives us its most affordable promo yet to celebrate happy hour(s). For only P1,988, you get a four-course meal with three drinks (just add P200 to get a fourth drink). To complete the treat, you also get a dessert of your choice to end the meal on a sweet note. Have you seen a more filling happy hour?

What to expect for happy hour at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse

Last May, Wolfgang's Steakhouse introduced "What’s Your Beef? A Four-Hands Happy Hour," featuring eight new small plates curated by Chef Chris Oronce and Chef Alessio Loddo to enjoy alongside a drinks selection.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, you get the Beef Tataki, Bruschetta, Braised Short Ribs, and Aracini Tartare. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, you get the Carpaccio Ludo, Bruschetta, Skirt Steak with Sesame Teriyaki, and Flank Steak Skewers with Kimchi Rice. Everything is exclusively offered for the happy hour promo, which means you won’t find them on the regular menu.

The menu is set to change every three months with the arrival of new chefs, but one thing is for sure: it will always be beef-centric with Wolfgang’s special USDA Prime Black Angus Beef as the highlight. If you find yourself loving a particular plate, you can order an additional serving for just P348.

There’s a wide selection of beverages to choose from for every type of drinker. For wines by the glass, there's Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carbernet Sangiovese, and Bordeaux. For cocktails, Tom Collins, Mojito, Whiskey Highball, Cape Codder, and Old Fashioned. For draft beers, San Miguel Pale Pilsen and San Miguel Light.

The promo runs from Monday to Saturday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Wolfgang Steakhouse’s The Podium and BGC branches. Yup, that’s plenty of time to savor those steaks and spirits. It’s perfect for those looking to unwind after work with a light meal and great conversation over drinks.

Now let's get into the specifics of each plate.

The first plate for the M-W-F set was an immediate crowd favorite. The Beef Tataki features thin slices of seared beef that almost melt in your mouth. The trick is to roll the garlic chip into the beef with the ponzu sauce for a balanced bite.

A strong start like that was hard to top, but the Bruschetta manages to hold its own with a beef chuck on top of onion bread toast and sweet tomatoes. It's a bit challenging to eat because of the hard toast, but you quickly learn how to enjoy every satisfying crunch. It's no wonder why this dish was put on both menus.

Everything else that came before is overshadowed by the arrival of the Braised Short Ribs. This plate bursts with homey flavors, featuring rich, tender beef cooked slowly in a silky soy sauce that leans on the heavier side.

Arancini Tartare combines crispy, golden-fried risotto ball with a generous serving of minced raw beef chuck on top. Compared to the rest of the set, it has a more muted taste that stands out in its own right.

For those craving some greens, Carpaccio Ludo is welcome start to the T-TH-S set with its paper-thin slices of raw and seasoned beef in a salad setting. Here, the beef is the star, complemented by cocktail aioli and other simple elements that make it a refreshing contrast to the other plates.

Another hearty dish, the Skirt Steak with Sesame Teriyaki is a savory-sweet delight. The grilled steak is glazed in a rich teriyaki sauce and topped with crispy onions to complete this decidedly rich offering.

Ending the set is the Flank Steak Skewers with Kimchi Rice, which gives you juicy, beef skewers marinated in a bulgogi sauce. The bold, tangy kimchi fried rice adds a spicy contrast to the already dynamic mix of flavor.

Last but not the least, some free dessert. You get the choice between a small serving of tiramisu or panna cotta for a sweet, satisfying end to the meal. The dessert might just come in a few bites, but both are just as much a highlight as the main plates.

Whether you’re planning a casual catch-up with friends or a laid-back date night, Wolfgang Steakhouse’s happy hour is your chance to experience a taste of luxury without having to worry too much about your wallet. Ultimately, we suggest that those who like to treat the beef as the star of the show ought to catch the M-W-F set, while those who are big on flavor are better off with the T-TH-S set.

Do take note that diners are only allowed to stay at the bar area or al fresco for the happy hour promo.
