Marudori Is Among Top Ramen Shops Outside Japan by 5 AM Ramen

(SPOT.ph) There are a couple of things that can unite people of different backgrounds, from different parts of the world. The globally loved Japanese dish of ramen is one of them, and we're privileged to have our share of topnotch ramen spots in the Philippines. A number of these local ramen-ya have garnered international attention as well—such as Marudori, hailed by 5 AM Ramen as one of the best ramen shops outside Japan.

Marudori on 5 AM Ramen guide

"Everything [Marudori] serves is as good as what you'd find in Japan," 5 AM Ramen writes about Marudori, describing them as a place that "serves high-quality, rich tori paitan (chicken ramen) with a focus on showcasing chicken." It's the only Filipino ramen spot on the list posted on Instagram, alongside Matsudai in Wales and Ramen by Ra in New York.

5 AM Ramen is a well-loved ramen resource that posts guides to all things ramen on their blog and social media pages, and hosts ramen tours in Japan. It's run by Frank, a Filipino American born and raised in Tokyo.

Marudori is a ramen spot that specializes in the paitan style of ramen using chicken. It opened in 2022 and comes our way from Nippon Hasha, Inc.—same guys who brought us fellow champion ramen shops Yushoken and Mendokoro Ramenba.
