(SPOT.ph) We’ve long associated summer in the Philippines with swaying coconut trees while sipping fresh coconut juice—be it from a cup or straight from the coconut itself. But why stop there when you can go totally coco-nuts with Poblacion favorite Good Sh*t Coffee's off-menu drink for summer!
For the second installment of Secret Menu, Good Sh*t Coffee joins the roster of Makati’s top dining and drinking spots in unveiling off-the-menu creations, available exclusively to those paying with a UnionBank credit card. The coffee shop is rolling out a summer drink that’s totally Filipino both in name and flavor: the Coco Mar-cream.

Beat the summer heat with Good Sh*t Coffee's Coco Mar-cream
Good Sh*t Coffee has always been all about fun—evident in everything from the name of the brand itself (which meaning differs depending on age or conservativeness—it can be explicit or PG-13), to their quirky menu item names (we're talking the likes of their New York-style cookies dubbed Jericookie Rosales). Now they've got the Coco Mar-Cream (P200) named after yet another Filipino superstar.
Coco Mar-Cream is a tropical coconut latte. This is perfect if you are part of the Asian population with lactose intolerance (sigh, genetics) but still cannot let go of creamy caffeinated drinks, or simply love all things coconut—in which case, you've met your perfect match with this Secret Menu drink. This iced layered beverage starts with espresso on the bottom, then is topped with a cloud of coconut foam. A sprinkle of toasted coconut flakes completes the drink, adding extra nuttiness and texture. It’s basically a beach trip in a cup while you endure the humid city.
Note that Coco Mar-cream is only available iced—it is a summer drink, after all. You can pair it with the Jericookie Rosales, which has chocolate chips and walnuts—because why settle for just one heartthrob? You know how the saying goes, "the more, the merrier." And hint, hint: Good Sh*t Craft, their speakeasy bar counterpart next door, also has a punny Berry Special Love cocktail for Secret Menu.
