SPOT.ph Exclusive: A new Latin chicken restaurant is coming to Manila

Think flame-grilled chicken, nachos, and hot sauce

Gringo

Chicken!

(SPOT.ph) No one is ever too chicken for more chicken, which is why we're excited about Gringo, the soon-to-open "Mexican-Latin" restaurant that specializes in fiery versions of our favorite poultry.

Gringo is conceptualized by the McWilson Corporation, the group behind Tokyo Bubble Tea, HoneyBon Pastry Shop, and Tuscano Italian Kitchen. The specialty is juicy flame-grilled chicken (which flaunts beautifully charred skin, just the way we like it) and an equally fired-up hot sauce. The chicken comes in two varieties: Original (which leans towards Mexican flavors) and Southern Spice (which is a more South American blend of herbs and spices).

Other must-tries include fall-off-the-bone ribs, Muchos Nachos, and Lemon Butter Crab.

Gringo will open at SM North EDSA The Block, Quezon City. A second branch is in the works at the Fort Residences, Bonifacio Global City. Their target launch is tentatively set for the last week of March or the first week of April.
