Locavore Burgos Circle is finally, finally opening
Get ready for us, foie gras lugaw!
(SPOT.ph) It's been over a month since SPOT.ph gave an exclusive tease to Locavore's second branch in Burgos Circle. Now, this all-day dining destination finally has an opening date: today, June 23, at 9 a.m.
For their second outlet at Forbes Town Center, Locavore deepens their foray into modern Filipino cuisine by taking an unorthodox approach to traditional breakfast food, as well as offering new items special to the Burgos Circle branch. Customers can now enjoy their lugaw topped with large chunks of foie gras and their Grilled Corned Bistek that takes its cue from Japan's creamy omurice. A SPOT.ph favorite is the cereal-halo-halo cross-over, Pinipig Cereal with Ube Milk, loaded with fresh fruit.
Chef Mikel Zaguirre uses other influences to compound Locavore's flavors. He has an entire set of torta varieties that is reminiscent of chawanmushi. Bicol Express is also boosted by a refreshing green curry and the Tokwa't Baboy is upgraded with duck flakes.
As for dessert, they have a winning Calamansi Cream Tart, a personal favorite of co-owner Tin Magsaysay-Matic.
Don't worry though. Locavore's bestsellers, like the Sugpo con Mayonesa and Sizzling Sinigang are available at Locavore Burgos Circle, too.
