KFC Is Making Their Fried Chicken Extra Buttery
With loads of garlic, too!
(SPOT.ph) There are very few things butter cannot improve—it's even being added to coffee. Now KFC is testing the limits with their newest twist on their Hot and Crispy Fried Chicken. The Garlic Butter Fried Chicken (P99/ala carte, P109/combo, P120/combo with soup) is available starting today, June 26.
KFC has a history of creating fried-chicken dishes you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else, and this—while tamer than their cheese-covered fried chicken or Chaco—is pretty unique, too. "We were looking for an experience that can appeal to everyone [...], and this should be an exciting and unique chicken flavor that you can’t find anywhere else," shares Natalie Perez, chief marketing officer of KFC Philippines via e-mail.
This menu addition takes their crispy, spicy chicken and coats it in a rich blanket of garlic-butter sauce. The Garlic Butter Fried Chicken then gets paired with—what we're most excited for, TBH—garlic butter rice.
If you're looking for a handier snack, the Garlic Butter Fried Chicken also gets turned into a Garlic Butter Twister (P95/ala carte, P145/combo with fries and drink). This wrap has Hot Shots coated in the sauce, buttered corn, KFC's thick-cut French fries, and just the right drizzle of creamy mayonnaise.
