(SPOT.ph) For a lot of us, Valentine’s season is just another month to get through. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t treat yourself to something sweet, and Starbucks always comes through in that department. Enter the new XOXO Frappuccino (P180/tall, P195/grande, P210/venti), made with their signature chocolate. It’s topped with a hazelnut-chocolate whipped cream and dark chocolate chips. It's only around for a limited time.

The Frappuccino has long been considered a staple at the Seattle-based coffee chain; it's one of the most popular drinks on the Starbucks menu. Undergoing an initial soft release in the hot American summer of 1994, the coffee company took inspiration from smaller coffee shops selling ice-blended drinks, and only had two flavors by 1995: coffee and mocha. Before long, the product was bottled and sold in West Coast groceries without so much as a test market, and the Frappuccino as we know it today made its way to Starbucks branches around the world.
Starbucks has branches at 14 Jupiter Street, Makati City and The Grove Rockwell, E. Rodriguez, Jr. Avenue, Pasig City. See a list of Starbucks branches. For more information, log on to Starbucks Philippines' Facebook page.
