(SPOT.ph) It’s every laid-back bride’s dream—and probably her partner’s, too. “Can’t we just have burgers at the reception?” isn’t a singular question by any stretch. Still, it’s a party; you can just have burgers, but you can’t have just any burger. Enter Moment Catering by The Moment Group—a.k.a. the folks who brought you Bank Bar, Manam, Ooma, Shawa Wama, 8 Cuts, and Mo’ Cookies. And, yes, that means you can get your favorite items from those restaurants at your reception—or any shindig, really, from bridal showers to grad parties to random celebrations.
Throughout 2019, the Moment Group has been providing informal catering services, but it's only today, March 5, that they officially launched this leg of the restaurant group. Co-founder Jon Syjuco says of the new venture, “After having been able to launch brands that have been embraced by the dining public, we want to continue doing [that, but deliver the experience] to your personal table.”
It seems that it doesn’t matter what the occasion is—they’ve got you covered. Apart from curating your own personalized Moment-based menu, you can also choose from a buffet-style spread, a seated affair with your favorites plated up for you, a family-style party (where there are no rules), or a cocktail event if you’re not quite the sit-down type at all. They have 20 different setups to choose from, and if a full-on carving station’s what you’re after, it’s not a problem. You could mix it all up if you wanted—a sushi bar on your left and Filipino street food on your right, because why not?
Not only can you take your pick from the dishes you already know and love—like the Truffle Hanger Steak from Ooma or the Meathead from 8Cuts—but Moment Catering is also coming up with their own lineup of new dishes, so we advise you watch this space.
Don’t have a venue? You can book The Mess Hall, The Moment Group’s own cafeteria-slash-test kitchen-turned restaurant. The space can accommodate anywhere between 75 to 110 people.
