(SPOT.ph) Summer—whoops, we mean dry season—brings to mind fond memories of spending the day with your loved ones, gathered around a barbecue grill. Even if we’re all social distancing for now, JT’s Manukan Grille can bring the fun to your doorstep. Selected stores are open, and they’re offering their famous grilled meats and other Filipino eats for takeout, pickup, or delivery. The deliveries can be done via their in-house delivery service, Foodpanda (for selected branches), or via external couriers (such as Grab Pabili, Lalamove Purchase, or Joyride Pabili).
JT's Manukan branches that are open include: Granada, Scout Borromeo, Malugay, Makati Cinema Square, Pioneer, Ortigas Home Depot, Bocobo, Libis, Katipunan, Ever Gotesco, and Fairview. Their chicken inasal is our absolute favorite in Manila. It’s got crispy skin with the right amount of char, and juicy meat packed with classic inasal flavors—whether you go for the Pecho (P148), Paa (P135), or Pakpak (P110). The adventurous can try out their skewered offal, such as Atay (P75) or liver, Baticulon (P65) or gizzard, or Corazon (P45) or heart. Don’t sleep on their Chicken Sisig (P200, plus an additional P20 for an egg) either; it arrives smoky and full of savory flavors, perfect to match with a cup of their Garlic Rice (P35).
JT’s Manukan Grille is a local chicken inasal restaurant owned by award-winning actor Joel Torre (who hails from Bacolod) and his wife, Cristy. It opened in 2003 and now has branches around Metro Manila as well as Boracay, Davao, and Pampanga.
