You Can Now Buy McDonald's Hotcake Mix in Ready-to-Cook Packs
Breakfast plans, solved.
(SPOT.ph) With their lightly browned exterior and soft, fluffy interior, McDonald’s hotcakes are one of those breakfasts that you can count on to bring on the happy vibes. You can now make it at home, as the fast food chain has expanded their Cook-It-Yourself line to include Hotcake Mix (P149/kilogram) and Hotcake Syrup (P199), among other McDonald’s meal components. They’re available through take-out and drive-thru at selected McDonald’s stores, including the Matalino, Ortigas Extension, and Buendia branches.
To make these hotcakes, you simply need to combine equal amounts of the mix and cold water, then whisk the batter until it's smooth and lump-free. Once that's ready, heat a non-stick pan and grease it with butter, then scoop portions of the batter onto the pan (the size is up to you!). Wait for bubbles to form on the surface, then flip and cook for 30 to 45 more seconds.
Complete the McDonald’s breakfast experience by getting a bag of their Premium Coffee Grounds (P99/180 grams)—the boldness of their coffee helps take the edge off the hotcake syrup's sweetness. Prefer to make your own McDonald’s-style sundae? They’ve also got Hot Fudge Topping (P399/two kilograms) and Caramel Topping (P399/two kilograms), which you can use to top your favorite brand of ice cream—or cakes and other desserts.
