(SPOT.ph) Hold on to those memories of sipping beer, checking out special art and music releases, and dancing the night away at Today x Future: The restaurant-slash-bar in Cubao, Quezon City, is closing their doors, according to an announcement on their Facebook page posted today, June 18.
“After long days and nights of deliberation, wrestling options and way too much alcohol to cushion the emotion, we are left with the decision to say farewell,” Today x Future writes in the Facebook post.
“We don't know what the future holds but we hold on to all the unforgettable memories. We'll always remember them fondly, from the loud, endless sing-alongs and sardinas sawayan to the quiet moments when we realize how much we all mean to each other.”

Not all is lost, however. FUTUR:ST, Today x Future’s sister bar in Poblacion, will be staying open as long they can. “In the coming weeks, we will be announcing plans to welcome you back there in another shape and form, and we hope you can continue to support us and make it your second home,” they write in the post.
And while they cannot throw a closing party, their "one last hurrah" will be on June 27, with their online Pride celebration.

Today x Future is a cult-favorite bar known for their quirky setup, which include artsy trinkets and a shiny disco ball that lights up the space at night, and for playing host to a number of musical performances, art exhibits, poetry readings, and other special acts over the years. Originally located at the Cubao Expo, they moved to their current General Malvar street location in 2012.
