All the Pepero Flavors You Can Find Beyond Chocolate
From peanut-pretzel to yogurt to sweet potato and more!
(SPOT.ph) The impact of Korean pop culture around the world manifests itself in many forms—from Korean skincare and makeup brands, to K-Pop, to the snack known as Pepero, which trended online when it was included as part of the rations distributed to Pasig residents on July 20. These pretzel sticks are a favorite for their light, crunchy texture, making them an addictive treat any time of the day. They're so popular in their home country that they even have a day dedicated to them—November 11, also known as Pepero day, during which people exchange boxes of the snack with each other.
While Pepero's most basic Chocolate variant proves to be a classic, the pretzel stick also comes in other lip-smacking flavors.
Check out all the different Pepero flavors you can find:
Pepero in its most basic, O.G. form is a thin pretzel stick coated in just-sweet-enough chocolate.
These sticks get an additional crunch and chocolatey hit from the addition of crushed chocolate cookie bits in the chocolate.
Crushed almonds add a toasty, buttery flavor and crunch in these sticks, and help cut the sweetness of the chocolate.
Similar to the Almond, but with crushed peanuts.
A.k.a. Pepero's take on the cookies-and-cream combo, this variant's got bittersweet crushed chocolate cookie bits that meld beautifully with the creamy white chocolate.
Peanut & Pretzel
This variant is a peanut lover's dream come true. Each stick is coated in white chocolate, drizzled with peanut butter cream, and topped with peanut and pretzel bits for an additional crunch.
This is essentially a reversed take on the original Chocolate with chocolate inside each stick. While it essentially tastes the same, this format makes it easier to eat without getting chocolate on your hands. A related variant that exists is the Choco Filled Pepero.
A creamy cheese filling adds a savory-sweet twist to this uncoated Pepero. A related variant that exists is the Cheese Cream Filled Pepero.
Nude Green Tea
Filled with green tea cream, this Pepero variant is a treat for matcha fans. A related variant that exists is the Green Tea Filled Pepero.
Yup, it's the layered Italian dessert turned into a filled, uncoated Pepero.
Nude Cream Cheese
This variant's got a filling made with three types of cream cheese. Think of a cheesecake, but in snack form!
This fruity variant is said to only be sold on Pepero day in Korea, but is worth the hunt with its sweet pink strawberry coating.
If you've ever enjoyed a glass of melon milk, you'll enjoy this pastel-orange variant.
Double Dip Choco & White
The Double Dip series has twice the creaminess as it's dipped twice—in this case, first in white chocolate, then in milk chocolate.
Double Dip Strawberry & White
Think of the strawberries-and-cream combo, but in snack form. Each stick is dipped in white chocolate, then has an outer coating of strawberry cream.
Double Dip Yogurt
Unconventional as it sounds, this variant dipped in a milk coating and a yogurt coating is sure to be a treat for fans of Yakult!
Double Dip Sweet Potato
Steamed sweet potatoes are a favorite in Korea... so why not have it in pretzel form?
Double Dip Cafe Latte
This double-dipped variant is perfect taken alongside your afternoon cup of joe.
