Shop Fruits and Veggies From Benguet and Help Farmers Out at This Weekend Market
It's happening this month!
(SPOT.ph) If there's any group that the pandemic hasn't been kind to, it's our local farmers. At the same time, chances are, you've been skipping your greens in favor of more processed junk-food eats—and it's time you up your fruit and veggie intake. The good news is you can hit two birds with one stone and help farmers out while shopping for quality local produce and other eats: Bonifacio Global City has launched the My Street High Street initiative, a market that'll be at Bonifacio High Street every weekend for the whole month of March!
My Street High Street was established with the aim of "helping displaced farmers earn a living." You can shop all sorts of market goods from Benguet—including produce like Basil (P70/quarter-kilogram), Cherry Tomatoes (P100/half-kilogram), Strawberries (P130/mixed, P160/select), Baguio Beans (P40/half-kilogram), Cauliflower (P120/kilogram), Yellow Watermelon (P80/kilogram), and more. You'll also find pasalubong favorites like Good Shepherd Ube Jam (P320/medium, P480/large), Strawberry Wine (P250), Coffee (P100/quarter-kilogram, P180/half-kilogram), and Peanut Butter (P80/small, P180/medium, P250/large). There's no middleman involved, which also means you can get these goods at a cheaper price!
You can order in advance by contacting Jhona Bitan at 0961-294-3083, and picking up your orders at the My Street High Street booth.
