Incredi-Bowl News: Ramen Ron Is Opening a Resto in Makati
Try to ramen calm.
(SPOT.ph) As ramen fans, we were incredibly elated as news broke out last year that famed spot Ukokkei Ramen Ron reopened as delivery-only shop Ramen Ron in 2020, with no less than Chef Margarita Fores (of Cibo, Grace Park, and Lusso) and Amado Fores (of a mano) joining forces with legendary Chef Tamura-san. The shop sold Ukokkei's famous ramen as DIY kits that you could easily prepare at home! Their ramen kits are some of the best around in the Metro, but if you've been missing the distinctive experience of having ramen prepared and cooked by skilled chefs at a restaurant, we've got good news. Ramen Ron will be opening their own dine-in restaurant counterpart at Rockwell, Makati!
Here's why you should be excited about the upcoming dine-in restaurant of Ramen Ron:
You can expect to see the well-crafted bowls Ukokkei Ramen Ron has become known for on the menu—including the Ukokkei Shoyu Chashu Ramen (P480), Ukokkei Miso Chashu Ramen (P480) which is one of our favorites in Manila, Tantanmen (P480), and Karamiso Ramen (P490)—plus sides like the Gyoza (P180/five pieces) and Karaage (P350/five pieces).
Ramen Ron's restaurant is set to have its soft opening by the late third quarter or early fourth quarter of the year. Get excited, ramen fans!
UPDATE (July 2, 3:45 p.m.): Ramen Ron has reached out to correct the opening date to the late third quarter or early fourth quarter of the year. The article has been updated to reflect that development.
