Kermit Manila Is Closing for Good
The Manila branch of Siargao's best pizza spot made the announcement today.
(SPOT.ph) Beyond its popularity as a surfing spot, Siargao is also famed for its amazing food scene—and when it's pizza you seek, Kermit is your best bet. The Siargao pizza spot's even been recognized by Condé Nast Traveler for serving up "what might be the best pizza and fresh-made pastas in the country"! We Metro-Manila folk couldn't be more ecstatic as they opened a branch in Poblacion, Makati in 2018, as their amazing pies became more easily within reach; their signature Stimpies pizza even made the top spot in our 2019 list of the Top 10 Cheese Pizzas in Manila. But you know what they say about good things coming to an end—especially with the crazy years 2020 and 2021 have been. With that, Kermit Manila is sadly closing their doors for good.
Kermit Manila is closing down their Poblacion branch:
Kermit Manila announced the closure in a social media post published today, October 3. "Thank you so much for allowing us the honor of serving you, and for your support the past years," they write. "We will miss you all dearly. Always stay safe and healthy, everyone."
But you can still get your fix for the last time in Manila: the pizza spot will be holding a "last hurrah" farewell event for dine-in and delivery on October 8 and 9. They'll be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and you can place your reservations by giving their number a ring; note that until those days they'll be closed. Take it as a sign to make those weekend plans—while practicing safety protocols, of course.
Kermit Manila is at 4636 Molina Street, Poblacion, Makati City. For reservations for the farewell event, contact 0917-625-6773. For more information, check out Kermit Manila's Facebook page.
