(SPOT.ph) We know, we know—love is a complex topic to unpack, and relationships can be a real complicated ride. Still, there's nothing like a sweet love story to deliver warm, fuzzy feelings, reminding us of love's power and the possibility that, perhaps, #forever exists in some way, shape, or form. At times, love arises in unexpected times and from unexpected places—take the case of Charo Dayandayan-Angelio and partner Ramier Angelio for example, who recently had a post-nup shoot at the Macao Imperial Tea branch where they met.

Here's the story of how this couple found love at Macao Imperial Tea:
It was three years ago at a branch in Ormoc, that Charo first met her soon-to-be hubby Ramier. "Our initial encounter at the Macao Imperial was completely coincidental," Charo shares in an exchange with SPOT.ph. Though they came from the same school (Ramier was a varsity athlete and Charo would join beauty pageants), Charo had never met Ramier. Ramier, on the other hand, had long known Charo—and had even been crushing on her.

"Ramier and his pals were already hanging out at the milk tea store at the time, and because we had a common friend who was also there, my friend asked if I [could] come over and hang out with them." Ramier, she shares, was "taken aback" when he saw her that day and remembered how he had previously sent her a Facebook friend request many years back. With that, Charo accepted his friend request—and they began to connect on Messenger and go out with their friends.

They would become even closer as time went on: "He'd show up uninvited outside our house and call to inform me that he'd arrived there, [and] we'd eat out or go for a little bike around the city together," Charo shares. It came to a point where Ramier would call her up on the phone and they'd stay up late talking. "Ramier began to feel at ease with me as a result of the fact that he shared so many things with me."

Soon, Ramier mustered up the courage and confessed his feelings for Charo—which she initially did not reciprocate. "I was completely unaware because I assumed he was simply being kind," Charo admits. "When I turned him down for almost a month, he was disappointed." But she shares that she was also "already attached to him, unnoticed," and the eventually two pursued a relationship. "I guess God and fate really wanted us to be together despite the difficulties."

Fast-forward to 2020, as Ramier proposed to Charo (thrice!)—first in September, using a thread to measure her ring finger; next in November, offering a ring with "the design of a heartbeat"; and finally in June, right after going out to dinner and having gone to Saint's Peter and Paul Parish supposedly because he wanted to "light a candle and pray." "When I was outside the church already, he asked the question with a diamond ring and immediately I said 'Yes,'" says Charo. They ended up having their wedding at the said parish as well.

Though they weren't able to hold a prenup shoot due to their busy schedules, Charo had the clever idea of holding their post-nuptials one at the very Macao Imperial Tea branch where they met. Ramier was initially hesitant to agree to do so, thinking they would "get a lot of attention from doing so"—but they pushed through and posted the shots on social media; Macao Imperial Tea also recently reposted the photos in a now-viral post. "'Met in Macao Imperial Tea SM Ormoc 3 years ago, NOW WE'RE HERE!'," it reads—bringing their love story full circle.

Though being in a relationship isn't necessary for fulfillment, it's only human to love and yearn to be loved—and for folks looking to find their special someone(s) someday, just keep at it. You never know where it might come about.
