(SPOT.ph) With winning treats like uber-chewy pichi-pichi and their social media-famous Triple Cheese Donuts, Lola Nena's has definitely won over the hearts of us Manila folk—you can expect to be in for a real tasty ride, whatever it is on their menu that you order. From their humble beginnings opening their first small kiosk in Tandang Sora, Quezon City in 2012, they've now got a number of branches all around the Metro, as well as in Cavite and Pampanga. But they're expanding even further, as they're opening their newest store and café in Tagaytay starting today, January 25!

Lola Nena's new Tagaytay outpost is at the Magallanes Square Hotel and will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. In an exchange with SPOT.ph, co-owner Steffi Santana shares it's their first branch with a full-fledged café (think a cozy dine-in area). It goes by a similar red-white-yellow color scheme consistent with their branding, with the occasional greenery to make for an ultra-cozy feel.

The best part is, they're serving a new line of espresso-based drinks at the new shop that you can enjoy alongside their signature treats! For starters, there's the slow-drip Brewed Coffee (P70) and Americano (P135/hot, P150/iced)—which are just the thing to pair with their famously decadent Classic Donuts (P160/box of eight) and Triple Cheese Donuts (P232/box of eight).

Should you be looking for a creamier sip, go for the Pastillas Latte (P155/hot, P170/iced)—a distinctly Filipino take on the usual latte that Santana shares was added to the menu to "reflect Tagaytay," and melds together espresso, carabao's milk (sourced from a local farm), salted caramel, and pastillas into a robust yet dreamy drink. There's also the Cafe con Leche (P135/hot, P150/iced) that gets double the decadence thanks to both whole and condensed milk in the mix.

Prefer a chocolatey beverage? The Tsokolate's (P60) got your back; Steffi shares they make it just as Lola Nena does, with tablea and cacao plus whole milk for richness. Alternatively, there's the Kape ni Lola (P135/hot, P150/iced)—essentially their more Filipino-esque take on a classic mocha, with espresso and tsokolate that make for truly soul-soothing results.

Don't miss their other specialties, either: The Special Pichi Pichi (starts at P95/small box) is an ooey-chewy take on the classic Filipino treat, while the good-for-sharing Canton Bihon (P350/small, P625/large) makes for an excellent merienda or addition to your party table. Well worth trying, too, is the Siopao Tostado (P168/box of 12) stuffed with pork and a hard-boiled egg. Combine their signature eats and drinks with the signature chill atmosphere of the city, and you've got yourself a destination you'll definitely be trooping over to every time you visit Tagaytay.
