After being stuck at home for the better part of two years, it's normal to get cabin fever and in turn, itchy feet. To satisfy your desire for a change of scenery, a number of new restaurants and cafés have opened in and around Metro Manila since March 2020, many offering a relaxing al fresco dining set up as well as breathtaking views for those who are sick of hanging out indoors. Many prefer to head out of town to check out those new outdoor dining spots, but if you're looking for a place to chill on your day off that's not as crowded as the likes of Tagaytay, Rizal, La Union, or Baguio, you may want to consider taking a three-hour drive from Metro Manila to Nueva Ecija. And while you're there, check out Sirmata Ecofarm and Nature Park and its in-house restaurant Kàyo.

This Al Fresco Restaurant in Nueva Ecija Is Perfect for Your Weekend Brunch Hangouts

Kàyo looks like a glasshouse in the middle of a forest. Comprised mostly of floor-to-ceiling windows and wooden fixtures, the main restaurant area is surrounded by breathtaking views of nature, offering visitors a scenic and brightly lit spot to relax, enjoy the weather, and have a great meal. Just outside the glass space is a large, al fresco dining area that's shaded by trees and overlooking a lake.
