This New Starbucks Drink Will Have You Floating on Chocolate-Coffee Clouds
Two salted-caramel coffee drinks are also making a comeback!
(SPOT.ph) Some days just feel like they drag on, which can make for a totally blah feeling when you realize it's only Tuesday. But if there is a treat you can turn to any day of the week for a much-needed pick-me-up, it's a creamy drink at Starbucks! You'll want to do just that as they're launching new beverages and food items—as well as bringing back a number of formerly available fan faves.
There's a new coffee drink and other sips and eats at Starbucks:
Love the decadent-AF combo of chocolate and coffee and looking to go beyond the usual mocha drink? Definitely go for Starbucks' new Cocoa Cloud Macchiato (starts at P180/tall). Available hot or iced, this beverage will have you walking on (dessert) clouds as it brings together Starbucks' creamy cloud foam with cascading espresso before stirring in a lush vanilla syrup and a cocoa drizzle! Take a sip and you're hit with the cloud-like foam, before the rich and velvety coffee mix below comes through.
Two well-loved previous seasonal drinks are also making a comeback, bringing together lush, buttery, and robust-tasting worlds as they combine salted caramel and coffee. The Salted Caramel Cloud Macchiato (starts at P180/tall) goes for the airy-meets-smooth cloud macchiato format, while the Salted Caramel Frappuccino (starts at P185/tall) presents the flavor combo as a creamy iced-blended drink. And ICYDK, you can now get your favorite iced-blended Starbucks frapps with the Creamy Vanilla Whipped Cream (P20) on top—you could just about compare it to softened vanilla ice cream, and it's made to be delivery-friendly, too!
Of course, Starbucks' signature beverages are best paired with one (or more) of their food items on the side—and they've got new options on their shelves. If you're more for a savory treat, don't miss the Jamaican Patty (P115)—it's got plant-based minced meat flavored Jamaican-style and stuffed into a flaky patty. The Meatless Shawarma with Falafel (P175) is another light yet feisty contender, pairing a paper-thin flatbread with a filling of plant-based minced meat, falafel, and a creamy garlic sauce.
And if you're more for the sweet side of life, you're in for a real treat with the coffee shop's swoon-worthy new desserts. Go for a very berry bite with the Cherry Blossom Crepe Cake (P205/slice, P1,640/whole), which has paper-thin crepe layers alternating with a creamy floral berry filling; or whisk your taste buds away to the tropics with the Mango Passion Cheesecake (P265/slice, P2,650/whole) which carries the vibrant flavors of mango and passionfruit in the form of a dreamy cheesecake.
Like it flaky? Go for the returning Napoleones (P105), their take on the classic Bacolod pastry with a vanilla custard cream. You can also treat your Homer Simpson on a daintier note with the Sakura Donut (P60), topped with a floral pink chocolate ganache; or simply sate the good ol' hankering for chocolate with the Chocolate Cupcake (P140) that's got a chocolate cupcake base and a topping of chocolate cream, chocolate ganache, and cacao nibs!
These items are available at Starbucks' shops, but you can also get them delivered through GrabFood or Foodpanda. Just note that prices and availability may vary.
