LOOK: Fresh Local Seafood Is the Star at This New Dining Spot in Boracay
From the folks behind Spicebird!

(SPOT.ph) As the summer months set in, chances are you've got plans to hit up Boracay in the coming weeks and get in that much-needed R&R. We don't know about you, but no trip to the island is complete without noshing on great eats from one of their many amazing dining spots—and if it's stellar seafood given fresh interpretations that you seek, we've got just the thing to check out: give a warm welcome to the recently opened Percy Seafood at the Seaworthy Boracay hotel-slash-resort.

This new restaurant in Boracay has your seafood hankerings covered:
Percy Seafood is brought to us by the Sunny Side Group—a.k.a. the folks behind celebrated Bora dining establishments like piri piri chicken joint Spicebird and brunch spot The Sunny Side Café. Apart from giving you an easy-breezy view of the beach, Percy carries over the laid-back feel to the inside as they go for a rustic yet bright ambiance with elements of wood and rattan, plus touches of greenery.

Taking charge of their kitchen is Chef Natalia Moran—so you can bet they've got their food game on point! As the name implies, Percy Seafood highlights the tasty treasures from under the sea; expect local seafood cooked in a variety of ways, with both classic and modern interpretations as well as Western and Asian elements featured on the menu.

For a simple but stellar bite that highlights the natural flavors of fresh local seafood, The Percy Seafood Cocktail (P1,490) is your best bet as it's got fresh oysters, prawns, mussels, scallops, and clams served on ice with marinara sauce and lemon. Prefer a subtly smoky grilled treat? Go for the Grilled Palawan Lobster (P4,950/600 to 700 grams), which you can get with your choice between garlic-butter and Thai nam jim sauces.Â

Should you be feeling crabby—the good kind of crabby, that is—you'll be happy to know that Percy Seafood serves what's dubbed The Best Crab in Boracay (P1,490), available four ways: choose from the timeless Steamed Crab with Garlic Butter, the feisty Thai Curry Crab, the Hong Kong-style Typhoon Shelter Crab, and the umami-rich Thai Crab with Glass Noodles. And for an all-out majestic dish, the Royal Seafood Tagine (P1,950/good for three to four)'s got your back; in it are fish, prawns, squid, and mussels stewed in a harissa-tinged base, Morrocan-style.

Percy Seafood is at Seaworthy Boracay, Station 1 Beachfront, Barangay Balabag, Malay, Aklan. For more information, check out Percy Seafood Boracay's Facebook page.
