(SPOT.ph) Fried-chicken sandwiches are one of those rare gems that have had us reevaluating our love of the usual fried chicken with rice pairing—and one spot in particular that fries up excellent versions is Sidechick. They opened at Karrivin Plaza in Makati in 2018, with versions of the sandwich that boasted some seriously thicc chicken fillets that were rightfully crisp on the outside and juicy within, too. Sidechick sadly closed both their Karrivin Plaza shop and second branch at Food District Signatures in BGC in 2021, leaving us with some seriously unfulfilled chicken-sandwich hankerings. They resumed open for online orders by November that year, but the even better news is that just recently, they officially reopened with a new physical shop at Bonifacio Global City!
Sidechick is back with a new branch in BGC:
Yup, make your way to High Street South Corporate Plaza at the corner of 9th Avenue and 26th street in BGC, as Sidechick's new branch is now up and running from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The new branch retains the cozy and casual feel Sidechick's known for, with checkered tiles and the use of wooden elements across the tables, chairs, and other surfaces.
On their varied menu are old favorites like The "OG" Chicken Sandwich (P295), Buffalo Bites (P280), and Carnitas Burrito (P375)—all excellent paired with their cocktails that include the Whisky Highball (P280) with Suntory Kakubin, and The Wu (P270) with soju, ginger syrup, and watermelon juice. Don't forget dessert; their rightfully thick and dense The Famous Keso Cake (P220/slice, P1,400/whole) is one of the best cheesecakes in town.
And if you can't drop by, you'll be happy to know that you can still order for delivery; just give their hotline (0966-298-1366) a ring.
Sidechick is at High Street South Corporate Plaza, 26th Street corner 11th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City. For delivery orders, contact 0966-298-1366. For more information, check out Sidechick's Instagram page.
