(SPOT.ph) If you'd been dining out here in the Metro in the early-to-mid 2000s, your restaurant bucketlist was likely topped by the establishment known as Lolo Dad's. An icon in Malate for their stellar fine-dining fare, they were arguably the restaurant that opened many a Manila-dweller's eyes to the possibilites that food can take in the hands of culinary genius Chef Ariel Manuel. Lolo Dad's sadly closed their doors in 2013, and though Manuel went on to open Bistro Manuel in 2016 the latter would also close down in February this year. But not all is lost. If you've been missing the award-winning chef's cooking, you'll want to bookmark the next two weekends on your calendar as Chef Manuel is popping up on selected dates at Makati dining spot One World Kitchen.

Reunite with the topnotch cooking of Chef Ariel Manuel at One World Kitchen this month:
Chef Manuel will be in for a two-weekend culinary residency at One World Kitchen—and he's got a special pop-up menu that features some of his signatures at Lolo Dad's, as well as other dishes inspired by his life and career working the kitchens of renowned hotels, venturing into haute cuisine, and more. This will be available on special dinners to be held at 6 p.m. on June 10, 11, 17, and 18; seats go for P4,500+ per person, and you can opt to add on P1,000 for additional wine pairing.
Haven't made Father's-Day plans yet with your old man or father figure? You'll also be happy to know that Manuel will be holding a one-night-only Lolo Dad's revisited dinner for the said occassion. Save the date: this happens at 6 p.m. on on June 19, and seats similarly go for P4,500+ per person with an option for additional wine pairing for P1,000.
