(SPOT.ph) Steak. If there's one word that will get your attention, it has to be "steak" and with its mention comes the idea of eating, of course. Well, if carnivore is listed as a skill on your CV, then take note: Renowned Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão is slated to start a fire, of the grilling kind and more, in Manila next year. Yup, the Bistro Group opens the doors to the first Fogo de Chão in the country, nay the continent, in 2023.

Fogo de Chão opens their doors in Asia in 2023
A total of five Fogo de Chão locations are set to open in the Philippines over the next six years as part of an international-franchise partnership between Manila-based The Bistro Group and the restaurant. This marks Fogo's entry into Asia.
So for the uninitiated, Fogo de Chão specializes in the centuries-old culinary art of churrasco. Their name translates to "ground fire" and captures what churrasco is all about: high-quality meats and proteins, from filet mignon to ribs to chops to ribeye and sirloin and a whole lot more, roasted perfectly over an open fire. Imagine it: you seated at the swanky new Fogo in Manila, being served fresh carvings of succulent meats tableside. There's greens, soups, and drinks, too courtesy of the Market Table and Feijoada Bar.
The award-winning restaurant was founded in Southern Brazil in 1979 and has since grown to have 66 locations worldwide. "Fogo de Chão is exactly what our business seeks out when looking for franchise partners,” said Bill Stelton, The Bistro Group chief in a statement. “The company’s upscale and internationally-renowned dining concept, paired with its passion for Southern Brazilian hospitality and the culinary art of churrasco makes them an invaluable addition to our portfolio.”
Fogo is the latest addition to The Bistro Group's list of restos; they're also scheduled to bring Italian chain The Olive Garden to Manila in 2022.
