Here’s what you can expect at the latest Mendokoro Ramenba Branch in Pasay:
Just in time for soup season, the new branch is decked out in Mendokoro’s usual sleek and modern Japanese-style interiors. According to Nippon Hasha CEO Ryan Cruz, this new branch is roughly the same size as their BGC branch and can comfortably seat about 40 people.
In terms of food, we can expect the entire Mendokoro menu to make an appearance in this branch, especially the crowd favorites: the simple but flavorful salt-based ramen, Shio, the rich and umami-packed Shoyu ramen, the nutty and creamy heat-filled Tantanmen, and their pork and vegetable Gyoza.
Aside from the usuals, Cruz also teased a secret special-menu item exclusive to the Mendokoro Pasay branch, one that he has decidedly kept very tight-lipped about. When prodded for more details on the dish, Cruz jokingly remarked that everything will be revealed in time and that customers should be excited because this new item will definitely be something “unlike anything they’ve ever seen.” Sounds exciting, right Spotters?
Mendokoro Ramenba is a ramen bar concept opened by the Nippon Hasha Group in 2014. The ramen bar concept, then new to the Filipino public, was wildly received by queues of people lining up for hours just for a bowl of their delicious creations, something we'll no doubt see again in Pasay.
Mendokoro Ramenba's Pasay Branch is located at MOA Square. For more information, visit Mendokoro Ramenba's Facebook Page.
