(SPOT.ph) If you're a fan of Italian fare, more specifically the pizza, pasta, and breadsticks kind, chances are you know of Olive Garden. You may also very well know that the restaurant chain is finally opening up shop on our shores and we've been keeping an eye out for its opening ever since its announcement. Well, just in case you don't know, we're just days away from their much-anticipated opening. And yes, their first-ever Metro Manila branch is going to be huge; we're talking about enough space for 300 hungry folks.
For those not familiar with Olive Garden, it is the largest American-Italian restaurant chain in the United States and is known for their garlic breadsticks, garden-fresh salads, soups, and pasta, as well as their "Tour of Italy" platter: Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna Classico, and Fettuccine Alfredo—which will get to have a bite of very, very soon. How soon is soon, you ask? It's September 12 soon.
Here's what we know so far about the first Olive Garden in the Philippines:
Thanks to The Bistro Group—you know, the ones who also brought us our go-to restaurants like Denny's, Rumba, and a lot more—you can get your Olive Garden fix in not just one branch, but two in the Metro: at the Mall of Asia in Pasay, and in Glorietta 3 in Makati. The first to open will be at the Mall of Asia, located at Level 2, South Entertainment Mall.
Here's the big—pun intended—news: It can seat up to 300 people. Yep, that big; 382 square meters worth of space, and there's going to be an al fresco dining area, too. A little bird tells us that the space will be full of modern Italian countryside elements: think earth tones, natural textures with, true to its name, olive green accents. It has various types of tables suited for every diner: family-style round tables for when you're coming in with family; four-seat tables for a casual hangout with friends; intimate booths for dates with your significant others. If you're the type to dine solitary, don't worry, there's a bar area, too.
Olive Garden will be located at L/2 South Entertainment Mall, SM Mall of Asia, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
