Such has been the case for Baguio Country Club's Raisin Bread.
For years, people would head to Baguio City and line up at the country club bakeshop just to get a loaf or two of this merienda staple. The hankering got so intense that Baguio Country Club even put up kiosks in SM City Baguio to deal with the rising demand for their loaves and other pastries. Now, we understand that it's not always easy to drive up to the City of Pines for when the craving hits—it's a bit of a journey after all. Luckily, you no longer need to wait for your next trip as they just opened a kiosk in SM Megamall, and yes, it sells raisin bread.

Located on the Lower Ground Floor of SM Megamall Building A, Baguio Country Club's kiosk is just a modest, blink-and-you-might-miss-it stall. But don't let that fool you because we're sure there will be a line once they bring out the bread and pastries.
Aside from the loaves, the kiosk also carries other Baguio Country Club products like chocolates and other merienda staples that can be great gifts.
Baguio Country Club's raisin loaf is the personal home recipe of the country club's former general manager, Mrs. Kate Reed. It made everyone’s day when she made them and went on to become a staple for the coffee drinker. From a merienda staple of old, it evolved through the decades into the bakeshop's trademark loaf.
