(SPOT.ph) Who can resist a plate of golden, crispy Korean fried chicken, especially with a good bottle of beer on the side? Korea, of course, is packed with countless fried-chicken spots; among them is bb.q Chicken, which prides itself on being "Korea's No. 1 Chicken Restaurant" serving the "finest fried chicken" in the country. They've got some stores in 57 countries (the United States included) around the globe, and we're finally part of the list as bb.q Chicken recently opened an outpost in Bonifacio Global City!

Get excited for the new branch of bb.q Chicken in Manila:
The first Manila outpost of bb.q Chicken is located on the second floor of Central Square, Bonifacio Global City. The restaurant, which comes by way of LCS Group Korea, is well-loved in their country of origin for many reasons—and here's what you should know about the famous brand.
That "bb.q" is actually an acronym.
Their name, in case you didn't know, stands for "best of the best quality"—and you can expect hot, crispy fried birds that'll have you licking your fingers, whether you go for the more basic Golden Fried Chicken (available in Original and Mild variations) or the glazed and glossy Hot Crispy Chicken. Prices start at P459 for a plate of four.
They've been around for more than a decade.
The brand—which is under the Genesis bb.q Group—was founded in 1995, thanks to Yoon Hong-guen's dream of bringing great-quality Korean fried chicken to everyone.
They also own a "Chicken University" in Korea.
Perhaps a testament to their passion for Korean fried chicken, Genesis has gone on to establish an actual Chicken University in Icheon, Gyeonggi. It's less of an actual school and more of a research center, where you can learn the art of—and try your hands at—preparing the dish yourself.
Name sound familiar? You've likely seen them in popular K-Dramas.
The brand is a cultural icon, to say the least. In case the name "bb.q" rings a bell (and not just because it sounds just like another popular Korean dish), it's because they've made appearances on Korean dramas like Crash Landing on You and Goblin.
bb.q Chicken is at 2/F Central Square, 5th Avenue corner 30th Street, Bonifacio Global City. For more information, check out bb.q Chicken Philippines' Instagram page.
