Get ready to scour the country for a worldwide treasure hunt. In celebration of Little Women's film release, Emma Watson—with the help of 150 book fairies—hid 2,000 copies of Louisa May Alcott's classic novel around the world for people to find. The best part? The actress has signed and left a special handwritten note on each book herself.
The actor worked with The Book Fairies project, a worldwide initiative of people who leave books as gifts for strangers. Thirty-eight countries are involved in the project—including the Philippines! No hints have been given as to where you can start looking, but the assigned book fairies will be sharing snaps of them hiding the books on social media with the hashtag #LWBookFairies. Take note though that as per Book Fairy tradition, books are usually hidden in plain sight, so try not to look too hard or you might just miss what's right in front of you.
A total of 122 different editions of Little Women are currently being distributed and hidden all over the globe for the campaign. The Book Fairies was launched in March 2017 and has since grown into 100 countries with over 12,000 active members.
