There are so many things to miss about the 1990s from the fun spots where we used to hang out (*cough* get drunk) to the pre-Internet leisure activities we took part in to the old-school rock music we would bang our heads to. If you're a fan of '90s music, you can probably still enjoy your fave tunes these days thanks to online videos and streaming services, but here's something else you may want to check out: photographer Eddie Boy Escudero recently unearthed an entire photo album featuring OPM legends at a recording studio in 1995—just scrolling through these old-school pics will take you on a trip back in time!
The photo album, posted on Escudero's Facebook page, features famous figures in local music history such as Francis Magalona, Rico Blanco, Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Gary Ignacio, Marcus Adoro, Nathan Azarcon, Melody Del Mundo, Cookie Chua, and Vic Valenciano. He titled the collection of photos "My Negatives Come Alive." (Side note: If you don't know what negatives are, you're probably a little too young to be reading this). The artists featured in the photos were actually in the recording studio putting together the 1996 album 1896: Ang Pagsilang, which featured hits such as ''Hanggang Ngayon" and ''Halo-halong Digmaan."
You'll see the musicians sitting in the studio looking much younger and rocking baggy '90s fashion as they work on music together. The discolored and grainy pics will probably remind you of your own photos with the gang back in the day. It'll feel like you opened a time capsule!
