10 Shows From Your Teenage Years You Can Stream to Really Feel Old

(SPOT.ph) As most '90s kids will tell you, it's still hard to wrap your head around the idea that those born in the early 2000s are already in college or, worse, are your colleagues at work. There's nothing wrong about it, but it just makes you feel really old. If there's one thing good about being in your late twenties to early thirties right now, it's that you grew up watching a lot of oldie-but-goodie TV series and sitcoms. Lucky for us, the advent of streaming services has made it possible to relive the good ol' days sans the commercials and long breaks in between episodes. If you want to revel in the nostalgia, we rounded up 10 shows from Disney Plus that we bet were on your must-watch list back in the good ol' days.

The Simpsons (1989)

Ah, yes, our favorite yellow-skinned family from Springfield. The Simpsons has been around for a long time, so much that a lot of their digs at how ridiculous the future might become actually became true. If you want to re-watch old but oh-so-funny eps of this long-running animated comedy series, you can binge all the seasons starting from the OG 1989 run until the current iteration on Disney Plus. 

Lizzie McGuire (2001)

Before there was the movie that brought us the oh-so-sassy line "Sing to me, Paolo", there was the Disney channel original series Lizzie McGuire. This series starring a young Hilary Duff was the quintessential teen coming-of-age sitcom of the early aughts. Here we catch Lizzie navigating the treacherous world of high school drama and pre-teen going-to-teen problems, all while we get access to her inner monologue through her equally sassy and often over-the-top animated persona. 

The Proud Family (2001)

This animated series is all about family and growing up. Penny Proud is now a teenager, and as well all know, puberty comes with a whole lot of drama. Luckily, the Proud Family is one solid comedic unit that never fails to be entertaining yet heart-warming at the same time. 

Kim Possible (2002)

During a time when cellphones and the Internet weren't a norm, Kim Possible showed us how to be connected 24/7. With her, call me, beep me if you wanna reach me mantra, she's basically us today. High-school cheerleader by day and crime-fighting hero at night, Kim taught us work-life balance before it was a thing. Also, who could forget the adorable naked mole rat Rufus who seriously deserved a spin-off. 

That's So Raven (2003)

What do you get when you give a cooky teenager vague, out-of-context psychic visions? A whole lot of comedy, that's what. Catch Raven Symone as the titular Raven Baxter and her ditzy best friend Chelsea (Annaliese Van der Pool) as they get into all sorts of crazy shenanigans while trying to stop Raven's crazy visions from happening. 

Bonus: If this isn't enough Raven for you, you can also catch the sequel 2017 series Raven's Home, where a grown-up, divorced mother of two, Raven Baxter, navigates parenthood and adulting while still trying to make sense of her powers.

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody (2005)

If you love Cole Sprouse in Riverdale now, you might want to check him out when he was young. Starring opposite his twin brother Dylan, catch the Sprouse twins live it up in the fancy Tipton Hotel under the watchful eye of Mr. Moseby (Phill Lewis) and their occasional babysitter Maddie (Ashley Tisdale).

American Dragon: Jake Long (2005)

Before Daenerys Targaryen was the mother of dragons, we got Jake Long, a descendant from a long line of fire-breathing mystical beasts. Still facing all the normal challenges of being 13 years old and a Chinese-American, Jake is also training in secret to become the first American Dragon. With the help of Grandpa Lao Shi and 600-year-old Fu Dog, Jake seeks to protect unicorns, mermaids, and all sorts of magical creatures living amongst humans in Manhattan.

Hannah Montana (2006)

Before Miley Cyrus was famous for her risque antics and heartbroken tracks, she was first Hannah Montana. Catch her playing Miley Stewart alongside her dad Billy Ray Cyrus in this double-life sitcom where Miley is a normal teenager by day but a famous teen pop superstar at night. Watch her comedically juggle the effects of superstardom along with the trials and tribulations of teenhood.

Phineas and Ferb (2007)

There are only 104 days of summer vacation, and Phineas and Ferb are out to make each of them count. From building ridiculous but cool inventions like a rocket ship and their own roller coaster, these stepbrothers are so full of shenanigans that it drives their sister Candace crazy. But TBH, the real star of this series is the wonderful Perry the Platypus, the family's pet-by-day and crime-fighting secret agent by night.

Wizards of Waverly Place (2007)

Three teen wizards in New York Citysmell like trouble, and with the Russo family that is an understatement. A young Selena Gomez stars as Alex Russo, the spunky middle child of the Russo family, alongside her TV brothers David Henrie as Justin and Jake T. Austin as Max in this family comedy where teen life and magic collide. Will their powers be enough to help them through puberty or will it make it harder?
