(SPOT.ph) Looks like another streaming platform is leaving the list of options we have in the Philippines. discovery+ has announced that they will be ceasing operations in the country on April 27.
The decision comes after "a review of its content and streaming proposition in the Philippines," said the platform on a service closure notice on their site.

discovery+ to cease operations in the Philippines
Both the website and app will be shutting down from April 27 onwards. Now while the closure will only be in the Philippines, this does not mean that you'll be able to access the service overseas with your subscription here. If you subscribed to the Philippine service, your account "will become obsolete" clarified discovery+.
discovery+ landed on our shores in October 2021. So while you might soon be missing your dose of documentaries of old cable TV shows from channels like Discovery Channel, TLC, the Food Network, Animal Planet, Asian Food Network, History Channel, and more, rest assured that Warner Bros. is not pulling out of the country at all. When it comes to streaming platforms, they'll be focusing efforts on HBO Go. So yup, if you're a fan of Drag Race Philippines, White Lotus, and more, you'll be able to keep your binge-watching sessions, no worries.
