The Eras Tour Will Be Available on Disney Plus Streaming on March 15

(SPOT.ph) The Eras Tour has officially kicked off in Asia with four shows in Japan. We know you’re seething with jealousy right now viewing Instagram stories of friends who managed to secure a ticket, but fret not. There’s hope for the rest of us poor people at home.

The tour's next stop? A streaming platform.

Where to watch The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)

After its initial debut in theaters, The Eras Tour concert film has finally found a home on Disney+ starting March 15, now rebranded as "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)." The big reveal came straight from Disney CEO Bob Iger during a recent earnings call.

“This week is truly the best kind of chaos,” Swift posted on Instagram. “I’m thrilled to let you know I’ve found a streaming home for The Eras Tour Concert Film, and that home will be @disneyplus...I’m calling it, huge shock, ‘Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version).’ Available starting March 15 which is actually very soon.”

This announcement follows her historical win at the Grammys, where her album "Midnights" earned her a record-setting fourth album of the year award. She also teased her upcoming studio album "The Tortured Poets Department” to be released on April 19.

What to expect on The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) on Disney+

This release will include the entire concert film for the first time and feature acoustic versions of "cardigan" along with four additional songs not shown in theaters. Disney+ hasn’t revealed the songs, so I guess we have a valid reason to rewatch the movie to find out.

However, insights from Variety suggest that the songs are likely to be the acoustic versions performed by Swift during her three shows at L.A.'s SoFi Stadium, which have not been included in the original theatrical or digital versions. These are believed to be "Death by a Thousand Cuts," "Maroon," "You Are in Love," and "I Can See You.” "No Body, No Crime" featuring HAIM is also a possibility, but it’s worth noting it wasn’t performed acoustically.

"The Eras Tour" concert film has already made a mark by becoming the highest-grossing concert film ever, with U.S. $261.7 million in global box office sales, following its wide theatrical release on October 13.

For Swift’s birthday on December 13, the digital release on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, Vudu, or YouTube introduced three bonus tracks not seen in theaters—"Wildest Dreams," "The Archer," and "Long Live."
