Concerts to Watch in October 2024

Olivia Rodrigo

When: October 5
Where: Philippine Arena

Ready to spill your guts out? Singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo is coming to the Philippines for the first time for her Guts Tour. We know you've been blasting "good 4 u," "Bad Idea Right," and "driver's license" in your room for months and now's your chance to hear those hits live, complete with screaming your heart out a la "all‐american bitch". The best part? All tickets regardless of section are priced at P1,500, and the proceeds go to Rodrigo's Fund 4 Good, a global initiative committed to building an equitable and just future for women.

Ne-Yo

When: October 8
Where: Smart Araneta Coliseum

Very few artists can trigger our sleeper skill of singing a song word per word, one of them being R&B icon Ne-Yo, who's coming to Manila for one night only to serenade Filipino fans with his hits. Ne-Yo's Champagne and Roses tour will be a celebration of his most popular songs and we're excited to hear "So Sick," "Because of You," and "Miss Independent" for maximums 2000s nostalgia.

Zerobaseone

When: October 12
Where: SM Mall of Asia Arena

South Korean boygroup Zerobaseone is headed for Manila this October. Here's your chance to see Boys Planet alums Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Han-bin, Matthew, Tae-rae, Ricky, Gyu-vin, Gun-wook, and Yu-jin live as they take the stage at SM Mall of Asia Arena and perform their songs. "In Bloom," "Crush," "Sweat," and "Feel The Pop" have to be on the setlist, but our fingers are crossed for a dance break with "New Kids on the Block".

LANY

When: October 12 to 15
Where: Philippine Arena (October 12) and Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino (October 13 to 15)

LANY is back for not one, not two, not even three nights, but four. You read that right—four back-to-back nights, with the first one at Philippine Arena and the three remaining nights in Cebu at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino.

The American pop-rock duo of guitarist and lead vocalist Paul Jason Klein and drummer Jake Clifford Goss are quite the favorite in the Philippines so it's nice to see them bac. It just wouldn't be LANY without "ILYSB," but they've got other certified earworms in the bag, too; like "Super Far," "Mean It," "Malibu Nights," and "13". And if you're worried about transportation to the arena, Live Nation has shuttle buses running for the October 12 show.

ASIYA

When: October 12 to 13
Where: World Trade Center

Music fans, artists, and industry professionals come together to celebrate Asian music at ASIYA, a music festival and conference from KARPOS Multimedia. Unlike the usual concert or show where fans wait to catch their fave artists for a set, ASIYA features that along with panel discussions from global music leaders, a networking space for musicians and industry pros to connect, share insights, open doors to new opportunities. You'll get to see performances from Filipino artists like BINI, UDD, and Urbandub, along with Asian artists like HYUKOH from South Korea, Imase from Japan, Numcha from Thailand, and more.

Orange & Lemons

When: October 18
Where: Metrotent Convention Center

Let's switch it up with some OPM. Orange & Lemons has been around since, well...forever and they're impossible to forget given the enduring legacy of "Pinoy Ako," the anthem of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother, on an entire generation of television viewers. It's crazy to think the band is now celebrating their 25th anniversary because, we swear, time was not moving that fast in our heads. Here's to hoping they play "Hanggang Kailan (Umuwi Ka Na Baby)" and "Heaven Knows (This Angel Has Flown)," too, because those songs stuck with us just as much.

Chanyeol

When: October 19
Where: Smart Araneta Coliseum

Another EXO member is stopping by Manila to give EXO-Ls a treat. The group's rapper is leaning into his rock and roll roots and inclinations to give us "Stay With Me," "Yours," and "Hasta La Vista," just to name a few. Though he's hitting the stage on his own this time, we're eagerly awaiting his take on an EXO medley of songs and his cover of BIBI's "Bam Yang Gang".

Lights, Camera, Encore! by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra

When: October 29
Where: Samsung Performing Arts Theater

If classical renditions of songs and soundtracks from your favorite films, television shows, and even the stage, then this one's for you. Immerse yourself in a celebration of 25 years of musical excellence courtesy of the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra at their anniversary concert Lights, Camera, Encore! Lights, Camera, Encore! — Music from the Stage and the Screen.

Under the direction of Maestro Rodel Colmenar, the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra will perform timeless classics from Broadway, film scores, and the silver screen. Other Filipino artists like Armand Ferrer, Bituin Escalante, The UST Singers, Lara Maigue, and the Philippine Madrigal Singers are also slated to add their voices to the songs, so you don't want to miss it.
