You Can Catch Liway and More Cinemalaya Films for Free This March

Tell your movie buddies!

(SPOT.ph) It's always a good thing when Pinoy indie films are screened after their premiere. It's even better when those screenings are free. So you might want to mark your calendars because CCP will be doing free screenings of Cinemalaya films, including 2018's ovation-worthy Liway, until March 28.

The screenings will be held at the CCP Arthouse Cinema. Seats will be first-come, first-served, which means you'll have to get there early with your movie buddies! All you have to do before the screening is line up and register at the CCP Tanghalang Manuel Conde.

You can still catch the screening of 2017's Requited starring Jake Cuenca and 2018's Mamang on February 28. Coco Martin's Serbis will be screening as part of the Reflexive Cinema Series on March 9 at 3 p.m. while Kip Oebanda's Liway (which is one of the best films of 2018, btw) is part of the Special Screening on Gender and Development on March 14 at 2 p.m.

The previous Cinemalaya short film entries that will be screening include: Annemikami Pablo's Mater, Martika Ramirez Escobar's Pusong Bato (which won Best Short Film in 2015), Anj Macalanda's Wawa (2015), Isabel Quesada's Pektus (2016), E. del Mundo's Manong ng Pa-Aling (2017), Che Tagyamon's Lola Loleng (2017), and Michael Sy's Yakap (2018). They'll be screening on March 14 at 5 p.m.

On March 28, feature-length Cinemalaya films Pan de Salawal (2018) and Ang Bagong Pamilya ni Ponching (2016) will also be showing at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
