(SPOT.ph) The wait is almost over—after years of being in the works, Ang Kwento Nating Dalawa's sequel, Tayo Sa Huling Buwan ng Taon is finally set to premiere on May 8. Exactly a month before its release, the people behind the movie are finally giving fans a glimpse into what happened to Sam and Isa and their complicated relationship status with a full trailer.
If you've seen Ang Kwento Nating Dalawa, then you know that Isa (Emmanuelle Vera) decides to move to the U.S. while Sam (Nicco Manalo) continues his job as a professor. In the new trailer, set five years later, we see that the two of them are now in their own, respective relationships. Sam, now a high-school teacher, is with Anna (Anna Luna), whom he asks to move in with him. Meanwhile, Isa is back together with Frank (Alex Medina), her ex-boyfriend.
As seen in a previously released teaser, Sam runs into Isa while taking photos of beautifully lit Makati. They then start reconnecting and visiting places they've talked about before. Soon enough, they both start questioning what happened to their past relationship. "We got lost," Isa says.
And if the already relatable storyline wasn't enough, December Avenue's new song, "Huling Sandali" adds all the more sawi feels to the trailer. Still directed by Nestor Abrogena, Tayo Sa Huling Buwan ng Taon is produced by TBA Studios—the studio behind hits like I'm Drunk, I Love You and Heneral Luna.
Tayo Sa Huling Buwan ng Taon opens in theaters on May 8.
