(SPOT.ph) Filipino cinema is bursting with talent and it only seems right to acknowledge great work in a night of awarding amongst your contemporaries. The Gawad Urian Awards has been around since 1977 to select the best from local cinema and with this year's award show wrapping up, fans and film enthusiasts can't seem to keep their chill at the results.
Veteran actor Eddie Garcia bagged Best Actor for his performance in the Martial Law film ML, but unfortunately couldn't make it due to his coma.
Nadine Lustre was awarded Best Actress for her performance in Never Not Love You, and this is her third best actress award this year. Lustre clinched a FAMAS Award for Best Actress and a Young Critics Circle Award for Best Performer, both for the role of Joanne Candelaria.
While she also couldn't be at the Gawad Urian Awards to receive her award, fans online made up for the absence.
