(SPOT.ph) A smart comedy is always a welcome sight in local cinemas, and in 2011, the mockumentary Ang Babae sa Septic Tank surprised everyone with its cheeky portrayal of a group of film students dead-set on making an Oscar-worthy movie. Eugene Domingo played herself in the award-winning film, and its sequel with Kean Cipriano playing a director was a satisfying follow-up. Now, Domingo is back for Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 3: The Real Untold Story of Josephine Bracken, a series you can watch starting July 17 on streaming service iWant.
Domingo will again be playing herself as an actress, now with directing and producing credits. She casts Tony Labrusca to star as Jose Rizal. The series is poised to be an irreverent look at how a historical biopic is made, and a satirical take on historical revisionism.
Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 3 is a seven-episode series. You can watch the first two episodes for free on the iWant app or on their website.
Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 3 starts streaming July 17 on iWant. For more information, check iWant's website.
