Lovers of local cinema, prepare to be entertained. In case you were looking for more ways to watch Pinoy films while stuck in quarantine, we've just discovered that Boysen (yup, the same Boysen that's painted on your walls) runs a streaming site called Studio B. It's filled with a wide selection of both old and new Filipino movies—and yup, it's totally free!
All you have to do is head to the Studio B website, sign up for an account, and start watching. Studio B has an incredible selection of local films including action blockbusters, comedies, dramas, horror movies, and more. Film buffs in particular who are loyal to classic Pinoy flicks will have a blast browsing their selection. You'll spot old-school films like Bituing Walang Ningning, Pangako Sa’Yo, Maging Sino Ka Man, Ang Probinsyano, Pedro Penduko, Captain Barbell, Darna, Brando Bandido, Langis at Tubig, Pusong Mamon, and so much more in their lineup.
They also have some more recent films available like Camp Sawi, Tragic Theater, Trophy Wife, This Time, and Chain Mail to name a few. Boysen also included some original content on the site like DIY videos, a podcast by writer Jessica Zafra, and even comedy sets performed by the likes of Alex Calleja, Victor Anastacio, GB Labrador, James Caraan, and more. You can even listen to some OPM artists in the service's music section. In total, there are over 600 free movies and features on the site. Grab some popcorn and start streaming!
