(SPOT.ph) It's official! The fifth installment of the revenge-filled action series John Wick has been confirmed by Lionsgate—and they start filming right after the fourth one is done. Which means you'd best ready your senses for two more rounds of everyone's favorite wholesome star Keanu Reeves as the lethal killing machine that is John Wick. Think he'll do that thing with the pencil again?
"We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 and 5 back to back when [Reeves] becomes available early next year," Lionsgate studios' chief executive John Feltheimer was quoted as saying by Deadline. Production for John Wick 4 is slated to begin early in 2021, said Feltheimer, with "back to back" filming for the fifth. Not much else was dropped about the fifth movie—aside from the fact that it's happening—but based on past installments, it's sure to be a wild ride.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is scheduled for release on May 24, 2022, U.S., a year later than initially announced. Production was delayed amid the coronavirus pandemic. John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum left us all with one heck of a cliffhanger, ending with the assassin mortally injured. So we're sure to stay on the edge of our seats until we find out what happens next.
