Earlier today, a group called the Filipino Free Thinkers protested outside the station where Celdran was being held. According to Inquirer.net, the group said they support Celdran’s stand on birth control and demanded for his immediate release. Red Tani, the group’s organizer, said not all Catholics and Filipinos agree with the anti-contraception view of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). He also called for the repeal of Article 133 of the Revised Penal Code that prohibits "offending the feelings of the faithful," which the CBCP charged Celdran with.
