NY-based designer Robin Tomas to design for Penshoppe
(SPOT.ph) Retail giant Penshoppe has tapped New York-based designer Robin Tomas to create a new line of men’s and women’s tops to be made available next year.
"Robin Tomas has a fresh, well-cultivated and very wearable aesthetic. It goes in sync with Penshoppe's sophisticated casual message," said Penshoppe Brand Director Alex Mendoza, adding "We just got an iconic New York character like Ed Westwick for Penshoppe. Now we got a New York-based designer to continue the story."
Earlier this year, the Parsons-trained designer won the Best Reinvention of the Men’s T-shirt award at the Supima Design Competition in New York. He also launched a made-to-order line in Manila in 2009. Tomas has worked for Tommy Hilfiger, J. Crew, Old Navy, and Gap. He also interned for couture designers Anna Sui and Valentino.
