GUIDE: How to Replace Easytrip Cards and RFID Stickers
You might be able to do so for free.
(SPOT.ph) The dry run for the contactless payment collection in various expressways is about to begin on September 1 as it prepares for cashless transactions with the use of RFIDs.
A quick refresher: Easytrip RFID stickers are a must when passing through NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, C5 Link, and CALAX. If your Easytrip RFID sticker has been faulty in your recent journeys, maybe it’s about time to have it changed. After all, the new stickers have a higher readability rate than its predecessors.
Beyond RFID stickers, Easytrip cards could also be due for replacement. Older card versions, like the ones below, are slowly being phased out.

How to replace Easytrip card
Drive to the nearest Easytrip RFID station to get a card replacement. You will need to bring your car and old card (and a signed authorization letter and valid ID of the account holder if you’re a proxy or a second-hand car owner).
You will be given a new set of account number, RFID sticker, and card once you replace your old card. You can also re-use your email address and plate number when creating your new myeasytrip account after 24 hours of having the new account number, but a different username and password is required.
The load balance in the old account will be transferred to the new one.
However, lost cards will have a replacement fee of P100. The new card will require an initial load of P200 to P500, which can be paid in cash or be deducted from the current balance in the old card.
You can get your new Easytrip card on the same day through the One-Stop Shop counters in these Easytrip RFID stations below:
- NLEX Balintawak Customer Service Center
- NLEX Tabang Customer Service Center
- NLEX San Fernando Customer Service Center
- CALAX Greenfields Customer Service Center
On the other hand, card replacement in other Easytrip RFID stations takes three to five days upon application.

How to replace Easytrip RFID sticker
Replacing the Easytrip RFID sticker should just take around five minutes.
The same account number can be retained when replacing the RFID sticker in one of Easytrip's One-Stop Shops listed above. RFID replacement for unreadable stickers is also available at the following locations:
- Balintawak Lane N08 - Thursday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Bocaue Lane X09 - Monday, Friday, and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
To avail of the free RFID replacement, make sure you have enough balance in the account to have it replaced then transferred to the new one. Negative balance in the account must be settled by topping up.
The new sticker will be installed on your vehicle by the Easytrip staff. A user guide is also found on the RFID sticker package if you want to install it by yourself.
